Baby Pages

One reason I LOVE to be caught up on all my scrapbooking when I have a baby is so that I can spend some time doing the baby book without feeling like I should be catching up on something else first. It's called guilt-free scrappin', which is SO fun because you get to work with pics of the cutest baby on earth. . .that's how we mothers view each of our babies, right?! Anyway, I took a little time yesterday (some of it while nursing even) and created these few pages. Boy, we are so blessed to be entrusted with these little ones! I just can't get enough of him! And, if I don't quit taking so many pictures I'm going to end up with a book of his first MONTH instead of his first YEAR! :)

WOAH!!!

Thanks to Shutterfly, who sent me a "coupon" that was good for a 12x12 photo book at 50% off, and only good until midnight of the 26th, I scrapped my butt off for the past few days, got totally caught up, and ordered my second digital scrapbook! I'm excited to compare the 12x12 with my current 8x8, and to have gotten it for half the price. Here are the pages I did this week (in no specific order, as that's too hard with this silly blogger program):

Making Time!

I'm on a mission to get caught up on my scrappin' before the baby comes in just 3 short weeks. So, I've made some time to whip out a few pages:

It's ARRIVED!

I FINALLY ordered my first digital scrapbook. It arrived earlier this week and I LOVE IT! Yah! Now I'm totally in the mood to create some more pages. I ordered my book on Shutterfly, 8x8, 100 pages for about $100. I can't wait to give it to my kids and Dave for Christmas. I ended up using some pages I created with Photoshop and some pages I just put together on Shutterfly using their templates. It turned out working with both and made it so easy to finish the pages I hadn't done in Photoshop. I'm going to do my next one the same way. My plan is to do one book each year--it will be hard keeping it to 100 pages, but that's as big as they let you do them. I made it work this time, so I'm sure I will be able to again.

6 months. . .and struggling!

OK, so I've been trying to digiscrap for 6 months now and it's been a bit stressful making the change from paper. I had fun at first as I was playing around with different templates and quick pages, but I suddenly found myself overwhelmed with keeping track of what I've done and not done. I'm so used to being able to have it all laid out in front of me where I can just turn the pages of my book and see what layouts I've finished or just look through my pictures, as the ones I've already scrapped are GONE. . .but, now after I finish a page it's stored in a folder AND the pictures are still there! I don't want to delete them, and I don't even dare delete the .psd files yet either so my hard drive is really full now. Anyway, I am finally sitting down to figure this all out. I think I'll just have to scrap with a notebook where I take notes to keep everything organized in my head so I don't feel quite so "out of control". Maybe this seems dorky to some of you, but I've actually quit doing anything because I've felt like I can't figure out what I've done and what I still need to do. (sorry about all the run-ons, I'm obviously NOT a great writer) Wish me luck--and hopefully I'll get organized enough to get some more pages scrapped. . .especially now that summer is over and fall is upon us. . .this time of year is usually when I scrap a lot and get caught up after spending the whole summer at the pool instead of holed up in my house. :) Has anyone else had this problem? How do you keep everything organized?
